ASA 5508-x/5516-x compatibility

I have a customer that, for some reason, needs to be convinced that CDI OOBs can be used with the RJ45 console ports on their ASA 5508-X and 5516-X devices. Just so I can put this issue to bed...is there any reason this configuration would not be supported?
