Hi there,

I recently purchased a CDI Port Authority SECURE 244X. I also purchased a Cisco compatible RJ45 to USB2.0 Serial cable with DTE pinout.

I have plugged in a compatible power cable to the unit and the unit powers on, then I've plugged in the serial-to-usb cable to the CONSOLE port and I am not able to connect via the screen serial tool to any of the usually used baud rates. 

Is there a way to acquire an original CDI DB9 Serial cable with the correct pinouts? I'm based in Canada.

Or is there another step I am unsure about to enable serial functionality over the console port/cable?

I bought this device to learn true OOBM. Never knew there was a device capable of phoning in to manage serial and power connections. This is something I would really like to learn and understand. Please help me get this device working!
